Three of us walked for a few hours on a small moor this afternoon.  We started walking with a back wind and after half an hour Ekko came on point.  Alex and I walked up and when sent in she flushed a pair of grouse.  Unfortunatley I didn't duck so he could only get a shot at one, which came down.  Ekko retrieved the bird which was still flapping.  We did see a few other grouse but this was the only bird shot.  Well done Alex.

Shame you couldn't be there Dave.

Well done Alex and Ekko, Alex see you on the 12th Sept at the next GWT.

PS well done on the country file show, hope you got to see it as I think they showed it a week earlier than you were expecting them to.

Stuart

Good to see you Stuart at the working test. I certainly felt glowing at the end after a bit too  much sun! Perhaps a bit too hot for the dogs!

Was a really well organised day. Well done on being in the awards. So pleased Ilka and I managed to finish our last puppy working test of the year with a win. She has come on leaps and bounds this year. Now on to the real stuff with a full season of working on a bit of everything! Karen and I are looking forward to pheasants on our little shoot earlier in the season until the woodcock and snipe start to pile in from November (hopefully)!

Hi Alex, Yes well done for Saturday. It was a great day even though I was a little dissapointed that Jack and I fluffed the last test. But for such a young dog I am over the moon on how well he has done.

Hope both you and Karen have some great days out with the dogs and guns over the season. I too hope to give Jack a sample over the coming months of some.

Keep in touch on how things go over the winter.

All the best

Stuart
