Hi All,
Been in touch with a few people and they recomended this site.
I am looking into getting a GSP and currently looking at good lines and such info.
I would be looking for a working/pet bitch, I would probably want to trial if the dog and I were good enough.
Hi Liam
The German Shorthaired Pointer Club is holding its annual breed club weekend on 7-8th June at Major Bridge Park, Holme on Spalding Moor, East Yorkshire. Sat 7th will be a working test with Puppy, Novice , & Open tests & Sunady 8th is the Breed Club Championship Show.
If you could get along to either, or both days, you will see plenty of GSP's and will be able to chat to a variety of owners / breeders about their dogs. As you have to live with your dog 24/7 I always believe the best starting point is establishing which dogs you like the look of and / or which dogs perform to your liking at test/trials. Once you know which dogs take your eye you can start your search by contacting breeders of dogs you admire, and or / the owner of the sire of the dogs you like and establish if they have litters or if their dogs have been used at stud recently.
Cheers Bill, Great thanks.
Been busily filling the inboxes of the great and the good of the GSP breeders today trying to find out more about them.
Thanks for the help keep it coming
Liam
Do you know who is judging the retrieving tests on the Saturday as I was wondering about coming along with my youngster?

Hi,
Well after spending far too much time on the internet looking at a million breeders I think I have found some good lines which seam to be every where. Inchmarlo, Isara Kurhaar and slightly newer Barleyarch. These seem to be very strong dogs and i like the look of them.
Does any body have GSPs with this mix?
I have also been warned that there maybe a possibility that there are GSP puppy farms in Essex and Lincs. Has anyone heard about these?
Does any one here have any contacts in the East Anglian GSP club?
Cheers for all the help.
Liam
