I currently own two weimaraners, a 4 year old bitch, Emmy and a 14mth old male, Blu.  I show my younger one and have just got into Gundog training with him too.  He is doing really well with his training so far after having a bit of a keen start he now seems to be calming into it a bit better.

On Sunday we entered the weimaraner club of Great Britain's working test just to see how he'd get on.  He did really well and he came 2nd in Special Beginners!  This has given us the confidence to carry on his training and maybe enter some more tests.

I know it probably won't be all plain sailing but we are ready to take the rough with the smooth!! Very Happy

Hi Lisa

I am a first time gundog trainer too so understand completely where you are coming from Smile   I have a 2 1/2 yr old GWP bitch and we try our luck at some novice trialling.  We start the NZ game shooting season this w/e so am looking forwards to getting more experience under our belts.

You will find lots of useful advice on this forum and if you have any questions just ask.

I have 2 gwps, as well as springers, pointers and a mad setter lol!
