Just back from NAT in Morebattle with my Munsterlander. Want to train him some more but as I am new to gundogs I have no idea what to do. Suggestions welcomed!! We live in Cumbria . I'd be happy to travel for a few days training if anyone can be recommended.

Cheers
Jill

I love Cumbria although I haven't visited it much. My son works in the Patterdale Hotel. Not that much moorland?

Thanks for welcome. For Helen - yes I have been to a show..SKC..and his breeder took him into the ring. Not sure it is my thing as there seemed to be an inordinate amount of standing around. My main competitive interest is Endurance horse riding and the season is the same as the showing season. How about you?

I do show but have only just started with my gwp pup, who is 9 months old. We've just been to a few shows, SKC being one of them, where we did quite well, winning the puppy bitch class. I am hoping to trial her if we are good enough but she will be mainly a shooting dog.

Hi Jill,
Welcome to the board, Glad to here you enjoyed saturday, I've just about recovered from `van lag', Although I am not quiet sure what was in those sausages as on sunday at the Spinone test I was suprisingly full of energy, to the point I even ran the scurry at the end of the day Shocked
Just in case your wondering which one was me, I was the one doing the water assessment ( the one they left down there without telling me they had stopped for lunch Crying or Very sad )
Peter

Well Peter, I hadn't realised you missed lunch on Saturday...it was lovely! Just got the result in the post and my puppy passed everything which is amazing considering that I know nothing! Thank you for your part.
It has spurred me on to learn more.
Perhaps we'll learn about whistles first.
