Hi everyone,
my name is Emma and I live in northern Finland. I have a 2-year old weim as a hunting companion. He is still young but I am training him to hunt black grouse, capercaillie and willow grouse. We do some training with pheasants as well. We have participated in a few hunting trials with nice results.
Last weekend I went to the northern most parts of Finland to hunt willow grouse but it was almost impossible because there was over 1 meter of snow. I could ski alright but Aku had to swim in the snow  Shocked  Very Happy
We did see a lot of birds though.
There are pictures of us on my website:

Hi Emma and welcome Very Happy   I noticed the long tail on your Weimaraner. Have you found any drawbacks to working a dog with a full length tail ?

My old G.S.P. bitch is undocked and although she's worked all of her life her tail has never been damaged. Has this been the case with your dog ?

Welcome to the board.  I work my gwp's on grouse - red and black.  Fantastic game birds.
