My real name is Nigel and I live near Fleet. I have 3 weimaraners. Misty is my youngest, I have had her a year and a day and she is nearly 16 months old.

Thanks to encouragement from the Weimaraner fraternity, not least Weima, and a few others, we have embarked on gundog training and GWT.

We, Misty and I, have attended two WT's, the Brittany's and the Spinone's recently at Elstead. We were in the places at the Brittanny's WT, (5th) in Puppy, and scored reasonably well at the Spinone day. On both occasions due to very high retrieve marks. Hunting let us down but we are working on it.

We also signed up with The Gundog Club and took HPR Grades I & II in quick succession, and are now awaiting the release of HPR Grade III details.

My other two Weims are Storm (6) and Max (~9). Storm is out of the Ivymoor kennel (grandsire Ivymoor Jay) and I must say he has loads of natural field ability.

Max was rescued from imminent demise at the local pound, some 3 years ago, and is much loved inspite of all his health issues.

I have met and competed against a number of you on here, and hope to carry on in that "wein".

I am looking for more WT's we can do in Puppy with just two months to go before we join Lisa and Blu in Novice.

Hi Nigel, welcome to the madhouse.

Not another B*&&%£ Weim, has there been a population explosion in the breed??

Welcome to the board Nigel.  What did you think of the gundog club courses and tests?

It is a madhouse, but you'll get used to it lol
