Hello all, I am from New Zealand.

I have owned GSP for over 30 years, and now I have a Vizsla puppy.

Our hunting season starts in a week. Mostly I hunt California quail (which seem to live as much in trees as on the ground) and a few pheasant and duck. Not usually bunnies as I'm trying to stop the dogs chasing them.

During my tea breaks at work (I get to remain at my desk & answer the phone etc) while the men are upstairs chatting yachts, fishing and rugby I'm chatting dogs on the net Wink
And sometimes in the evening if my ISP dial up will work.

I lost two really nice GSP in 3 years.

I have GSP Jive now but she is over exciteable and frustrating, so as my hunting partners Vizsla do not wind up so quick, and are nice to hunt with I thought I'd try a change.

He has been a lot slower to get the idea of hunting than GSP I've owned, but he gained P11 natural ability last weekend at 7 months so he is really coming along now. He is very loveable.

Sorry to hear that.

Sounds like you've got it right with the Vizsla. Any photos?

I have an American friend who may emigrate to NZ in the near future. He has a vast experience of working and judging HPR's. Would it be possible to send him information on your hunting legislations, quarry, seasons, availability and cost etc please? I can forward his e- mail address.
Many thanks for your time.
