Hi there - as you can see I am from NZ.
I have had GSP's for nearly 25yrs and now currently waiting to get a Labrador puppy (Norman!) - he willbe ready beginning of June (not long now!!
I have successfully hunted and trialed GSP's. The last two I have been fortunate to make up to Grand Field Trial Champions (pigeon trials).
Hunting is mainly pheasant - usually every year I drive up to hunt with MC - this year I forgo that to fly up to the North Island to pick up Norman - will take Shayde and the gun with me - hopefully will see a few pheasant!!
Where I live (on the outskirts of Christchurch - east coast of the South Island) we only have one day on our license to shoot pheasant - with a bag of one!! There are a few quail covey's around - but usually have to travel great distances to get any decent shooting.
The ol' bones are not what they used to be - hence getting a Labrador - at least he will keep me in the trialing scene.

Not sure that many of MC's & my antics could be broadcast on the web Anyway we always have a great time - see some great dog work and feel that we are letting enough birds get through to keep the numbers up for the next season!!
