Welcome to the board Jules. I have 2 gwps, as well as 3 springers, 4 pointers and an english setter. They are all worked, doing various jobs and the youngest gwp is being shown.
Welcome to the forum Jules. Are you planning on doing anything with Oscar? What made you choose the SRHP?
This time last year we lost our precious weimaraner ( Morgan ) after 10 years & having another Weimi would have hurt us to much so by accident trawing the net i came across the Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer & just fell in love with them !
as luck would have it a litter was ready down on the South coast so down we traveled to view them ( the rest is history )
Oscar has exceeded all our expectations having previously having a Weimaraner , & my husband had a GSP before i met him
without doubt the Slovak is much more laid back & goes where the GSP or Weimaraner would not ( now that's saying something )
& just you try keeping these fella's out of water no chance whatsoever

Hi Jules and welcome to the forum. I think I met Oscar at Rusper last year???? I am assuming you got him from Sandra who lives just down the road to me. I am very tempted and if and when the time is right I might just pop down to see her. _________________ Lesley, Holly (nearly 9) Buddy (2) both rehomes.
Yes he was from Sandra , she has two litters at the moment I would love a bitch hoping my other half will get the hints I am dropping .lol
As Oscar is everything you would wish for.....
I cannot fault this breed at all ....
