Yes Guy you are right  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

Freddy did win his 4th CAC at the weekend and was beaten by a lovely bitch for BOB who was eventually shortlisted in the group.   So now he is a Dutch Champion - need to remember to add that to his F/T entries.  Very Happy  Very Happy

Well done Sahron and Freddy.

I was at an HPR theory training day with Trevor Rigby last week and he was talking about Freddy and saying how he sat to flush beautifully at a recent event, even though he was round a corner and out of sight. He really is a super dog.

Thanks Fiona  Very Happy

Yes he did do that.  It was at a new ground and we were showing the guns what the HPR breeds could do.  So we were hunting up a hedgerow and he went around the corner and a covey of partridge lifted.   So Trevor and I carried on walking up the hedge, round the corner and Freddy was still in the down position - having gone down to the flush as I hadn't even blown the whistle.

Then further round this hedge he started to indicate game and a hare literally got up from about 2ft from him and before I could whistle he was in the down position.

Really good day although not much shot but all the dogs hunted really well.  Very Happy

Oh I know as I drove to the north of Germany to fetch our Danish bitch - the drive wouldn't bother me but it's the time away from home and the other dogs left with Mum & Dad.   Getting away for a day at a show or F/T isn't much of a problem - but three days is a long time  Crying or Very sad
