Hi

Well I now can safely join as I am the proud owner of an HPR again.

I lost my weimaraner Cressy last year and in have been owned since by a rescue welshie and a demented deerhound. Please don't ask why this combination Wink .

As of monday I have been adopted by Mugi, a 10 year old rehome Brittany. Mugi has never worked having lived his earlier years in Edinburgh with most of his exercise coming from Golf Courses. I hope to soon get him off lead and see what his nose can do.

It is so funny to be back with a lively, independant dog in the household and even though I now have 3 entire males of 10, 4.5 and 2 all seems to be going well.

Mike

Hi Sue and welcome Very Happy

How did you come by Mugi? Is he from a rescue?

Did you especially want a Brittany, or were you just looking for any rescue HPR?

There are some Brittany people on here, somewhere!

Hi Josie - I originally was looking for an older weimaraner rescue but that was not proving easy. I heard about Mugi after overhearing a conversation his breeder was having with Claire (IWRRS) and I decided to look into him a bit further.

So in essence he is a breeder coordinated rehome, his previous owner returned him on monday and his breeder and I then met partway between Scotland and Worcestershire.

He is a really lovely lad (if a trifle fond of his voice at the moment!!!).

way to go Smile

One of mine is a second owner animal - he lost his first on a Welsh mountain top.

welcome. there are a number of Brittany's your way - we were even up there a couple of weeks ago. forum member Annie is in Aberdeen so not that far.

There is a Brittany Club meeting with activity day on the Sat and show on the Sun; it is the 20th anniversary of th eclub.14th 15th October Cattthorpe Manor Lutterworth, Leicestershire. 100 Brittanys loose in a field is a sight to behold.

Good luck. Make contact if youare ever in Hampshire.

I would love to see people reactions when they see the two orange and whites together. Smile

Oh hi Jo, how many names do you have???? lol

Guy - Mugi and I will be attending the Saturday of the Brittany Club event providing he has settled with me enough. I doubt very much he will be loose though as recall could be an issue......we will have to see where we are at by then!
