Catja took CACS and then Meillure de Race at the 'Special' at Aurillac in France under Christian Gunther the president of the French breed club.

Lisa - it means I have taken a French breed of dog that was not bred or even lives in France to France to a championship dog show and won CACS - which is equivalent to a CC and then Best of Breed with her under a top judge.
'Special' is where the breed club promotes the breed classes within the champ show and in so doing ensure there is a high entry.  A CACS at a special counts towards being a champion whereas a CACS at a normal champ show does not.

CACS stands for Certificat d'Aptitude au Championnat de conformité au Standard  - loosely translated as championship certificate of conformity to standard.

Ben - thanks.  It was the Aurillac in the Auvergne / Aquitane area.  Fantastic scenery.  If ypu pm me an address I have a couple of those 'special interest magazines' you wanted.

We are all very proud of our Guy and our Catja - you know of course that when a Brittany does well it is automatically adopted as belonging to all members of the Brittany Club fraternity! Wink

Well done Guy (and Julia), and Catja Laughing  Laughing  Laughing
