5* home offered to SpringerI have posted this on other forums but someone here may know a Working Springer needing a home.
My parents have had working springers for years and have just lost their elderly bitch. Their other springer seems lost without his "auntie". They offer a wonderful home in Kent on 4 1/2 acres with daily off lead walks to a bitch between 2 and 6 years - can be spayed. She will not be worked so could be gunshy or otherwise unsuitable (all their previous springers have come to them this way). She does need to have a good temperament (grandchildren are frequent visitors), be reasonably obedient to recall etc and housetrained/clean in kennel.
Please pm me if you know anyone who may need to rehome a springer.

Yes, try NESSR. We got one of our springers from her and she is a great dog. Done a full season beating and just took to it like a duck in water!

Doesn't have to be gun trained, just obedient enough to not take off hunting and totally ignore commands whilst on walks. My dad manages well walking two who stick around and do roughly what they are told, but does not have the energy or will to train a pup or a "nutter".
I will try Springer rescue.
