9 month old GSP for re homingHarvey was born on 30.1.08 so he is now 9 months old. He is a liver/white GSP bred by Barbara and Ian Halbert, Marimay German Short Haired Pointers. Out of his 30 ancestors recorded on his pedigree card 25 are champions. He is KC registered AJ01169902 and his KC name is Marimay California.
He is intact and extremely good around children and other dogs. He is very biddable and loves company. I don't think he would be good with a cat! He has recently chased and caught a couple of rabbits. He is house trained and recalls on the whistle. He loves hunting for the dummy.
Jim and I are both of the opinion that we want him to go to a good home for life, and we are rather concerned that if we offer him for free someone may take him just because he is free, if that makes sense. So we may look for a financial offering.
He is fully inoculated including kennel cough, micro-chipped. He is used to a kennel indoors and a cage in the car.
Obviously this decision has been extremely difficult for us and upsetting and we would rather deal with re-homing him as soon as possible and would appreciate any help you could give us.
It is only fair to say that Jim is also exploring the possibility of re-homing Harvey with a neighbour who expressed an interest in Harvey a while ago, when this person has been spoken to I will let you know. However I still want to explore all avenues at this stage as the longer this goes on the more difficult it is.

Have you contacted the breeder to see if he wants him back to rehome? A difficult decision I'm sure for you.
