Advanced training at laochin gundogsJust had another Brilliant weekend, Training with Andy Cullen at Laochin Gundogs on Cromlix Estate in Scotland. 
there was 6 of us on the course, so we all got plenty of individual attention, and advice to improve our dogs.
we had a varied training schedule, with retrieves, dummies and cold game on saturday morning,
and hunting pointing and flushing on saturday pm all pigeon home safe and sound 
sunday am saw us up on the grouse moors, with some fine points on grouse ( 1 by fred )
sunday pm we were at the loch for some bango retrieves, Fred did a fine retrieve across land into water onto an island, into water on opposite side find the dummy and return by same route
All the dogs did well, but I was very pleased with my Fred as we hadn't done this kind of double water entry before.
Tracey arranged the lunches of home made soups, chocolate cake, and flapjacks and organised a BBQ for the saturday evening, this was great as we all got a chance to mingle and discuss the days work.

Andy very kindly included me in the BBQ on Saturday night - the food was great but I really appreciated being included in the fantastic camaraderie of working folk. I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent company and the general chat including the discussions about the 1996 Championships DVD. Allez is nowhere near this level so he did what he does best on Saturday - BOB at an open show then I went to meet a couple of dog whisperers on Sunday - hope to try out some of their ideas too.
