AdviceOk we have a lovely small netherland dwarf rabbit who belongs to my daughter. And Callie is obsessed with him, Cooper as well but he'll go do pee pee's at night before staring at the rabbit.
Whilst moving the hutch and run thats attached to it Callie decided she wanted fresh meat for dinner and burst through the run and got hold of the rabbit!!!!! I had one daughter running screaming into the house and me throwing up the run and hutch to get said dog out of it.
I grabbed Callie by the scruff and she let go of him, Cooper then got him but dropped him when i told him to leave it. Thankfully our bunny is ok, no puncture wounds found by me or the vet and we've moved him out of the dogs sight for now. This is by no means ideal or secure as he's at the side of house.
So i was told to join here and ask for advice on getting them 'steady' around the rabbit. Cooper pre Callie was trained as a young pup to leave the rabbit and both used to be in each others company quite happily. This has all gone now and i've not been able to do the same with madam.
Any advice welcome.
Thank you.
