Brittany Heaven -Some pictures from a day's Brittany only hunting; Germany.
The day starts with a fanfare on hunting horns.
A number of drives are reached by walking through the village,
All drives today were through woodland of one denseness or another
Catja (9 months, ears up) working her ground.
Only cock pheasants were shot. Tom the Tricolour is Catja's great uncle.
A quick break about lunchtime for a mug of gluwein. Delicious.
At the end of the day all the game shot is carefully laid out. The guns stand to their head and the beaters to their feet and a tribute was blown. Each species has its own tune. We had pheasant, brown hare and pigeon. Finally a rally was blown calling to eat. The meal should be the subject of s separate post.
