Busy weekendNot only was yesterday Rosie's first working day but we were a the Northern Counties Gundog Club show this morning and she came third in the Junior class

Congratulations!
We were entered with our GWP but got the chance to do some dogging in with her so took that instead. Were there any gwp's there and if so, who won?
What did you do yesterday?

None of the GWP's turned up.
Given the choice I'd have rather been dogging in too
It always annoys me to see what the show people have done to their Labs, I mean mines overweight but she can still comfortably do a day in the line, some of the show ones would have a heart attack just getting in the back of the landrover

Thats assuming the labs can even get into the back of a landrover in the first place
Its sad the way that breed (and others) has split into the 2 strains. I hope weimars never split.
Mind you, I've seen some lovely looking working labs, nice head, good muscle tone, then you watch their movement and its dreadful. Does make me wonder how they manage to do a days work based on their construction faults. Of course not all are like that though

P.S. Well done by the way. I nearly entered that show but decided to do Tay Valley Gundog Association instead.

No thank goodness they aren't
How did you do at Tay Valley?

We see a real mix of labs in the field. I personally like the lighter build but they aren't what you would call a "typical lab". I do like the one in the pic though.

Yeh that one in the pic is nice. A friend of mine has a black lab and she's a little cracker, although she's not very tall like some labs you see.
We managed a 2nd and a 3rd at Tay Valley which was ok, although I'm chasing JW points so didn't help us much on that score
