Docked breed gundog websiteI've been compiling information for a small website on docked working gundogs.
I know full well the CDB is there and does excellent job, but this site is for gundogs alone and why some breeds need their tails shortened to prevent injury.
I have asked on various for photographs of injuries (I know we don't generally think to get out the camera) and reports of gundogs injuring tails working, not even docked breeds. Anything to counter all the anti docking propoganda on the net.
So far I have received nothing.
I would be very appreciative of photos of docked breeds working in heavy cover.

First I've heard of the website. Will try and get some pics next time my springer is out as she goes into the thickest cover imaginable.
I can also post my experience of owning an undocked springer.

I was at the Blair Atholl horse trials and country fair, in August and there was a man there collecting signatures against the changes to docking rules in Scotland. He had some horrific photos of undocked gundogs.
I think he was sharing the Scottish Countryside Alliances stall, so they may be able to help in contacting him if you want to get copies of his photos.

Haven't got site up and running yet. Still compiling info.
Thanks for that suggestion, will try and find their website.
I don't have a comprehensive list, that's something worth noting on the site.
Gotta rush, off to retrieve practise before it rains (again).

Great. Much appreciated.
If anyone has a friend who can supply working spaniel pic's that'd be
great too.
I have heard from the Scottish group, they are going to request permission from the tail injury photo's owners for me.
After this weekend I can start to put the info I have in order of how I want it on the site ready to get it put on.
I can copy off here or anyone can send pic to my home email
