I think this one is quite a popular discussion on more than one forum !
About all I've got to say on the subject is that I'd rather dominate a dog than be subservient to it.

"So we've all been wrong, for all these years. A study released yesterday confirms that there's no such thing as the "leader of the pack" in the dog world." .So nature has got it wrong for the last couple of millenia then?.

Nature obviously knows what it is doing. Humans seem to make it up as they go along.

A study of dogs in a re homing centre and `re-evaluation' of a feral dog study, And spending a whole six months on it. Not to mention having a strong opinion and agenda as a starting point
Yes I'm sure thats a real study into the psychology of dogs and there natural behaviour patterns. Just think of the conclusions on human behaviour if your study group consisted of patients at Broadmoor and the homeless community
I for one will be forgetting everything I believe I've learnt from my dogs and works with my dogs, as they are clearly unbalanced and misunderstood, and off to follow the guru of all things canine Dr Rachel Casey, religious ferver to follow....NOT
