Glen again

Well he lasted almost a week in his new home Exclamation Just had a call to say that Glen is being taken back to Rory because he barks in the evenings and chases the cat. He is, apparently, OK during the day when he was with this guy's wife but started to bark later on despite being walked. I did say that I was told by the original owner that he barked and he was OK if crated but this was not taken notice of. Lynn do you know anymore about this Question  Rory is going to reassess the boy and, hopefully, he will be homed soon before he loses all his training. Any one who knows of a good [forever] home please contact me or Rory direct.

In my experience of rescue, a week is absolutely nowhere near long enough to have allowed the poor lad to settle in !  Perhaps if they had listened as well as giving him some more time then he would have settled down nicely!

What a shame - I am sure the bark was for a purpose - Ellie barks to be let out, when she thinks she should be going for a walk, when she thinks she should have her tea, when it is light enough to get up and come in to the house etc.  Certainly we have a morning woof chorus - perhaps I should have him so they can talk to each other?

That's a shame Jan but I agree a week isn't long enough but if the new 'owners' are not willing to put the time & effort in then he is better off away. Perhaps Rory can keep his training going Wink

Hope he finds a home very soon.

Poor little pup !  Do you know if he is barking in kennels with other dogs for company Jan ?

I asked if he barked while he was in the kennels near me and the answer was no, but bear in mind that they wouldn't know if he barked at night. He was on his own in the kennel and couldn't see any other dogs although he could hear them.

Poor lad.   Hopefully a forever home will come for him soon.   It's so sad when they get mucked about like that.
