gwp coat issues...studwith the months ticking by before sika comes on heat i have a small list for possible sires, the first choice was sweeps dad who couldn't quite make the date having died
i want to use a solid liver dog, with an awesome correct hard coat.
now sika has a strange coat, at the moment it is short and hard but in winter it goes like rihmad's murtle
does the solid liver add any undesirable faults to an alreadly 50/50 coat?
i was told it can help tidy up a few coat issues, is this true?
and can i trim the fluffy bits on sika's front?
i suppose this is really for sharon

Are you using solid liver because you want to produce solid liver?
You are right Sharon is the expert Rumours dad was solid liver and she has a soft wolly coat, he litter sister who a friend ownes has a good harsh solid liver coat but it dosent have an undercoat. Her brother who trains with me has a good liver and white coat.
Liver and white mum (whos grad dad was also solid liver) to solid liver dad from lines with alot solid liver in it produced 11 pups 8 solids 3 ticked.
Dont know if this will be of any use
