Hawking this weekendJust a few pics taken whilst working the gsp & hawk this weekend.
btw the collar is a pointing collar (beeps when the dog is on point - great if she has come on point on the back of a hedge so that you can position yourself for the flush)

Wow! Great pics! Maybe a stupid question but how does the collar detect the dog is on point?

When the dog stops moving it starts beeping, so it is also very good at detecting when the dog has stopped for an empty
I got mine from www.cabelas.com
Unfortunately I can't give you the direct link as I am at work and according to our IT bods the site is classified as WEAPONs and is therefore blocked

Ouch, when i was a lad we had a dog called a Dandie Dinmont, when ever he saw the airrifle come out he'd get incredibly excited as he knew he'd get sent out to retrieve or if i am being honest eat squirrel/ magpie etc. He got cut a couple of times but fortunately he used his terrier crunch on them pretty quick. He also had a nasty habit when ferreting of trying to get to netted rabbits before me, running off with the entangled rabbit and doing a good job of eating rabbit & net
