HelloHi All,
I am 35 years old living in Suffolk. I am married with two beautiful young daughters ( 3 and 1 ).
Not had a dog since meeting my wife (10 years) but did grow up with various breeds as a kid at home. I want a dog that will be able to work with me and my Harris Hawk, also retrieve on game shoots, and have settled on a Brittany. I get my Harris Hawk in September, so would like to get a partly trained Brittany, to start me along. Would be good to meet owners/breeders in the Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk areas.
Look forward to seeing you all in the forums
Regards
Rob

Hi Rob
Welcome, I don't know anything about Brittanys I'm afraid other than i've been to events at Mr & Mrs Rush's farm near Hevingham. They have a lot of Brittanys and I think are on the Brittany Club committee. You could try googling them or contact The Norfolk & Suffolk HPR club who might know someone but there are quite a few Brittany people on this site who I am sure will be able to help you.
Good Luck

Hi Rob
Welcome to the forum.
First question is do you have a good sense of humour - or is that a warped sense of humour - as one is needed with these great little dogs.
Pat Rush is definitely a good place to start. http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/patouche/
there is an independent forum http://thebrittanyforum.myfreeforum.org/index.php
and of course the Brittany Club http://www.brittanyclub.co.uk/
I think I would get the hawk trained first before contemplating a dog. Talk with Steve Wright - he flys birds, runs Brittanys and knows more than a little bit about both http://www.stevewrightfalconry.co.uk/ (sorry cannot get link to work so you may have to cut and paste this one)

Hi Rob welcome to the forum. As I recent convert to Brittanys I'm sure you'll love the breed. There are plenty of people on here and on the Brittany forum that will be happy to answer any questions you have (and probably some you've never thought of)

Welcome to Brit World - you had better be as mad as the rest of us or you'll go off your trolley
Come and join us on the Brittany forum.(and the Club - doing my usual job of enticing new members being Treasurer - always looking for folk's cash! )
