Lincs HPR Gundog Training (Newly Formed)Well the Lincs HPR gundog training group (newly formed ) had their first meet up on Sunday at Lynn's place. Have to say at this point many thanks to Lynnn for having us. 
We had 10 handlers of varying stages and Rory coped admirably with us all and I for one got an awful lot out of the few hours he was with us. First we had a talk on obedience and learnt how to check the dog properly. Then he assessed us on our retrieves. I found out that Buddy could indeed do steadiness so from now on he gets no more free throws  .
Off down to the water and even two pups of 4.5 and 6 months did a retrieve (GSP). I was absolutely gob smacked when Buddy just swam out for his first retrieve and it was hilarious watching his front paws propel him through the water. Here's some pics of the day:

Well I certainly enjoyed myself and was agreeably surprised with how Chase retrieved both on land and water.
Great to meet everyone and their dogs. ............. and many thanks to Lynn for the warm welcome. |

We all had a fantastic day too, learnt a lot from Rory and are grateful to Lynn and Lesley for the work put in to make this group work.
