Lost Puppies :(Having had a bad week with one thing & another going wrong, the icing on the cake was finding out that my bitch has lost her puppies. 
She was looking blooming lovely but one day I noticed her go thinner so I took her to the vets for a scan where nothing could be seen.
She definitly ws pregnant as they had been felt but at 5.5 weeks she aborted them. I had a swab taken & an endoscopy. The results of the swab were that she has a mild infection so she is on a high does of antibiotics. Apparantly, it is a critical time for bitches to lose puppies & it would have to happen to my bitch 
Thankfully, she is OK in herself & doesn't appear to be any worse off for it.
[other things to go wrong are, wireless connection buggered so having to use the old computer, sky+ box not recording properly & caravan cooker lid smashed!!]

Oh no, what a bad time of it you're having That is really bad news about the puppies Hope you have better luck next time.

Sorry to hear about puppies - I was told by an old breeder that dogs danger times are same as humans - trimesters - 3, 6 and 9 - months for us weeks for them.

Thanks for the good wishes. The bitch is doing fine in fact she doesn't know anything has happened! She probably wanted a full season shooting & puppies would have got int he way!!

Hi Clare - so sorry to here you girls has lost the pups - have been there as well and know how disappointing it is when have planned everything so carefully. Nature can be a so n so at times.
Fingers crossed you have better luck next time, we have just mated our girl again (final attempt at a second litter) and so the stress begins !!! Sometime I wonder why we bother its so much easier to buy one  )
