Mix and Match

I was just wondering how much the stud fee for you viszla dog is?  We have a very lovely 75% black lab 25% pointer bitch who'd we'd very much like some puppies from and think a viszla would be a lovely mix!  Do you let your dog serve non-pedigree bitches?

I wouldn't as for one it is against our club rules and also feel there are enough pedigree dogs being bred without starting on the Heinz 57 variety!

I take it someone emailed you to ask to use your Viz? Rolling Eyes

Thought it was going to be one of those weeks when I received it.

I'm sure she loves her bitch and it is a wonderfull part of her family but the reason she gave for breeding perhaps isn't the right one.

Well Lionel's blanket has been lifted as 5 mins later I had a phone call from Germany to tell us we have a bitch out of a mating we had chosen over a year ago. There were 9 dogs and 2 bitches born last week  which were taken by the stud and bitch owners. This was a repeat given permission because the first was so good, a dog from this won the conformation and prufung scores at the DL Schorlemer. The sire is gradedv/v/v.
Larry visited the kennel last year, he must have said the right things as the stud owner of this top German glp is allowing his booked bitch to come to the UK.

Also good to be told Asta, our Arthur's sister has the best conformation and prufung scores of all puppies born in Germany that year.

The North Sea seperates 2 very different philsophies.

Oh Brenda  it's enough to make you want to cry  Crying or Very sad    These people have no idea whatsoever the risks you take when breeding - I'm sure they would be beside themselves if the bitch died whelping  Crying or Very sad

Fabulous news about the bitch puppy - I'm presuming you aren't going to be saying no.

I hope Arthur realises he now has to do the same over here now that his sis has shown him the way it's done  Laughing

Thanks Sharon, we are pleased, even more so when Birgit was asked for a puppy out of Arthur's mum because he had seen a picture of our Elko on the web site. Perhaps I'm not turning into a manic depressive after all
( where have I put my lithium !!! )

Good to hear Freddie is producing the goods, well done at MW, was there any other GLP's there? Please buy an autograph book for your dog, I'm getting tired of keepers telling me what a good dog he is.

That's brilliant news about Birgit being asked for a puppy having seen Elko - wow.

No there wasn't any GLP's at Mid Western (didn't see Wayne at all so presumed he didn't go and he was the only one entered).  Jean had been taken ill and her classes were taken over by Jacqui Ward.

I better go and get an autograph book for Freddy then as his breeder would be delighted to get this feedback from keepers  Laughing
