Vizsla Bitch

Hi,

We are possibly looking to find a new home for our Vizsla bitch, nearly 2 years old, part trained, needs more one to one time, as we have several dogs ( I trial spaniels) , she needs more training than we have time for at the moment, where is best to advertise her so I can assure she gets the right kind of home ?

Thanks

Nicola

Hi Nicola - Right here is the best place to advertise her on this forum, and it's free, so go ahead. As far as I know, this is the only UK HPR forum, but others might have ideas where else to put ads.
Claire

Have you considered contacting Vizsla rescue ? I am involved in Weimaraner Rescue and we do occasionally have working homes contact us. However if you are wanting to sell her rather than simply rehome then Vizsla rescue might not be suitable. Just thought I would mention it anyway. Also, what about contacting the breeder or the owner of sire, they might know of suitable homes willing to take on a youngster.

Best of luck.
Helen

Agree with Claire, if you ware wanting to find her a home, rescue might be a good option. I help out with gwp rescue and I have found a possible working home for a young gwp bitch.

ukgundogs.org.uk (I think) is a good website for advertising.

I go with the rescue option unless your looking to sell her in which case you'll need to look at other options.

Thanks for the options, she's not spoilt in her training, or a real problem, just that I feel she would beneft from more 1 to 1 time, she needs more attention and I feel we are leaving her out of the equation, she was bught for my other half to train for stalking but he's nt had time, so I take her out with my spaniels, and thought she might benefit from a more focused home. if it takes 6mths to find her the "right" home thats fine by us, to be honest we will probably keep her but wanted to see if anyone was after an older Vizsla bitch so we could consider her options and ours, afraid rescue not an option as we would like to recoup our costs etc,

Thanks

Hi Rachel,

Many thanks, I am afraid Iam not comfortable with sending her abroad, I would rather I found her a working home in the uk but appreciate you thinking of her.

Has this girl been rehomed?
