Shootover DayHi Everyone
I have been helping Tom Brechney to organise a shootover day which is on Saturday. Someone has had to drop out today because her bitch has come in to season so we have a place going spare. It will be a 30 bird day for 6 dogs and handlers in Lanark.
If you are interested, please pm me and I can give you more details.

Many thanks to Jackie for organising this day.
Myself & Chester had a great day, such a concentration of HPR's it has been a great boost for us both, and undoubtedly all who attended.
The ground, game & guns were all first class, Tommy was extremely constructive and honest in his guidance.
If you get around to organising another one, put us staright on to your list.

Yes, Thanks to Jackie for organising and indeed the ground, game & guns were superb.
Tommy was as helpful as he could be with my HPR which will only H&P.
Will certainly be interested in going again if I can get the retrieve sorted in the meantime !
Company was good as well and the weather not as bad as predicted.

It was certainly a success - you never know how these things will pan out first time round on new ground etc.
Tom is keen to do another in about a months time so I will be in touch.

I heard it was an excellent day and I wished I could have been in two places at once

Great Consider me as a definite (if i'm allowed back), and i'll promote the benefits at future training days.
I was pondering the days events as I drove home, everything was exceptional.
Had hoped to post a picture or two, but they're rubbish from the mobile.

WHAT a small world it is! The power in my house has been off all day! The engineer sent out to trace the fault heard Hester barking and asked what 'make' she was. GWP I said, not really expecting him to know what that was. 'Oh, me and my wife have one of them. Wife wanted a dog to work with my hawks', said he. 'OK, is she going to training' said I, 'yes the GSP ones at Argaty'. Ok, now I'm thinking who might that be? First though, the hawks - turns out he knows a guy who has one of my Brittanys. Next the dog - Trudvang breeding! Next the training - 'well, she should have been at a shootover day on Saturday, but the dog came in season'
Guess what, that was the place I was offered last minute by Jackie, but was already booked for beating at a shoot!
Small, small world!
Got my power back on now, as you can see!

It is a very small world indeed. It is shame they missed out on the shootover day as their dog has been very impressive at the GSPC training.
We're hoping to run the shootover days monthly until the end of the shooting season and then some dry training days over the summer if the interest is there.
I will let people know the dates once Tommy sorts the ground.
