we are going to the German breed club show instead. After all the beer is cheaper. I believe Topaz's brother is going to SKC so at least there will be a family presence.

I felt a right idiot when I asked at Crufts for you as I didn't know your surname so just asked someone if they knew where a Jan, with a Merlin was lol. She knew though!
Mmm, toffeee, I LOVE toffee - particularly liqcourice (sp??) toffee.

I love liquorice and have a very large jar on my kitchen counter which I refill about every eight weeks [it holds 2 1/2 kg] must be a family thing as my Mother loves it as well.

Im going with two GWP's, Well hopefully two if Saker has finished her season.
Mom is going and it will be her first every dog show, I think I am more nervous than she is...I hope mom and dog behave, I have a horrible feeling Brogan will not
I decided not to take Skye one she dosent like showing and also Murtle tried to take a chunk out of her face...it has heeled but she has no hair there at the moment, I have no idea what it was about, Skye probably had Murtle side of the bed
It will be torrential rain and windy always is.

Last time I went to SKC we had to wait until 3pm for the woman judging cockers to finish And it rained and it poured and the tea/drinks stall ran out of hot water etc etc. Must be mad to be going again, it's only the thought of seeing Annie's new house and the free booze........
Shall we all meet up at the tea stall then Or will I bring a bottle and plastic cups Someone else could bring the shortbread
Just realised Sharon...I will bring the camcorder [again] and make sure it has a new film
|
Rhimad

Sounds like a good idea, Im game.

Which tea stall and when? I'm showing Gordon Setters too so knowing my blessed luck I'll still be in the ring when you lot are drinking tea and eating shortbread
Yes Jan we could try again couldn't we
|
Helen
|
Sounds like a good idea Jan! I'm going to be with Tracy so it might just be the beer tent instead though ;p LOL
I'm sure Brogan will be fine. I'm sure they will enjoy themselves whatever anyway!

I'll be there with 2 Brits. SKC will be Ozzy's first Scottish show (he comes out at Carlisle on Monday) - though unfortunately due to their crazy classification I've had to put a 6 month old pup in junior!
|
Ghilliegumdrop
|
Last time I went they only had one tea stall.........the beer tent is a MUCH better idea I'm really looking forward to seeing Ozzy Liz, he looks a super boy, will you be joining us in the beer tent

Oh Dear look what I have done. I have started a worrying change of topic. Never mind Helen just tell the baby which day he is coming and he will arrive then.

Of course there is a beer tent , it can be found by looking for a lady propping up a tent pole. That will be the beer tent and the lady will be Jan !

We are in ring 16 after those grey things have been in and GWP's are in ring 15 next door so we could cheer each other on

BritAnnie

No, she isn't getting a pup - she couldn't cope with that and Merlin too! She's coming to stay here today for a few days and we are meeting someone special on Monday, well hopefully Sunday night too!
That reminds me - if anyone wants to come here after SKC they are most welcome (have a few Brit fold coming for eats and dtinks and chat) New abode is Clackmannan - 10 mins from Kincardine Bridge. PM me for directions.

How did everyone get on?
I had a great weekend but didn't get anywhere with Teal. Claire handled her for me, VERY well but she was just out of sorts - thanks Claire. Had a really nice time catching up with people and thanks must go to Jan for giving me my licourice toffees - yum! Jan, sorry we disappeared. It was only on the drive home that we realised we were going to meet up with you again - sorry!
Managed to meet Annie but didn't realise that Claire (weima) was stood next to Claire.
Home now and pretty exhausted but great weekend - thanks Tracy for letting me stay for the weekend and her mum for driving me up and back home.
Aren't dog people great?!
Helen

Rhimad

Helen ate all those toffee, didnt share one!!!
Great to meet you Jan, and I apologise too, we just set off home without thinking.
I have been thinking Helen, you must be exhausted, we didnt stop all weekend, I hope we havent worn youout too much.
Mom got a 4th in Puppy dog with Brogan, she was thrilled and she cried (dafty), Harris wasnt impressed with showing, he really enjoyed his swim though before we set off home.
Really enjoyed SKC yesterday. Dont tell the hubby!!!!!
|
BritAnnie
|
Merlin won his class and the Ghill dog got a 4th, Annie got 3rd in limit dog with Allez and 2nd in open bitch with Freckles. I think I ate enough of those toffees to put me off for life Helen. We had a good old time at Annie's [still here actually] and will report when home tomorrow. Lots of wine got drunk to celebrate
Jan
|
Helen
|
I did share them :p lol.
I'm fine but tired. Lazy day today on the sofa and sitting in the sunshine I think lol.
Well done on the wins Jan, and Annie. You both did well. It was interesting to see brits with tails in the ring. Couldn't make up my mind if I liked them or not. What did you think of their tail carriage?
Helen

I met Jan who was nothing like I imagined her to be She gave me a toffee yum yum
I didn't see anyone else other than the ones I already know.
|
Claire
|
Oh pants Helen and weima, I didn't realise you hadn't met before, I am really crap at these things
Was lovely to meet Jan, thanks for the toffee
Teal, bless her, she did feel out of sorts as I've handled her before and this time she felt very different. I just couldn't get her to switch on to me and she was even whining a bit which I think is out of character for her. I tried me bestest but I'm annoyed at myself really. Helen I realised after I left you that the next time I see you will probably be when you are a mammy with a flat tummy again
|
BritAnnie

Take careMy Smartphone PDA was pinched from my bag at SKC while taking a dog for a wee, so beware . Fortunately, it's synched to my computer so should have most of numbers, have just lost this week's appointments. Hope my memory kicks in
Phone and sim both now barred so it is now a useless piece of junk that can't even be Ebay'ed, thanks to No1 Son, just wanted to warn everyone for future.
Annie
|
Claire
|
Have you reported it to SKC Annie? If not, then you should do. It may even have been handed in as lost property!
|
BritAnnie
|
No, it's def been stolen - my was a Manager in T mobile (now with O2) and he called them, the sim has been removed and another inserted, so he has had my sim, their sim and the phone all barred - he he, that was good fun, they'll need to buy another sim now - or steal one!

woohooo! Trying my bestest to get to the August SKC but it depends on a LOT of things! Will stick an entry in and see if I can make it. It does depend if they are shooting down here as I really can't do it without Rob!
Don't beat yourself up about Teal Claire. She had a busy weekend and if she's going to have a phantom, it will be now. She did me proud the weekend as she is usually a kennel dog but settled at Tracy's really well. We did go to a fun dog show on the Saturday so she had spent all afternoon there as well. Bless her. She was glad to get back to her mate Pippa lol.
Sorry to hear about your phone Annie. What a pain in the whatsit!

I feel such a dope My phone was in the side pocket of an old climbing fleece of John's I have in the car in case it gets cold. I hadn't checked the car and the battery had run out so it didn't respond when I phoned from the house My son had ordered a new sim before I found it so I'm owe him £10, but I suppose a spare sim won't go amiss if I load it up with everything.

Hi everyone
I didn't understand the acronym GBAS ? Yahoo came up with the following. ***
Group Benefits Administration System **
General Business Advisory Service **
Greater Badminton Association of Sydney **
Green Bay Aquarium Society *
Generic Building Automation System *
Generic Bezel Attach Specification *
Ground Based Augmentation Solutions *
Group Benefit Administration System
I take it they don't apply to the SKC (i no what that is )
