SMALL MUNSTERLANDER UP FOR REHOMINGHi All,
Mossi, 4 yr old Small Munsterlander up for rehoming - no fault of his own.
His "Mum" has had a stroke, and he needs a new loving home. He hasn't worked before - BUT - he has the SM work and hunting instinct all intact, has a nice nature with dogs, cats, and humans. Fine with kids, but, due to the breed's exhuberant nature, he wouldn't be suitable for very small kids. You could point this dog in any direction, he's very biddable BUT - he must go to a working home. Please call 01340 831168 to discuss.

Small Munsterlander Mossie - more details
We are fostering Amos (Mossie) at the moment after Jean at LM Rescue passed his details to us.
Mossie has come to us because his owners were unable to cope with him. Mossie is 4 years old neutered male and litter mate to Kobi and Hector, our SMs. He is a typical gundog - full of energy and joy for life. He has fitted in very well with our dogs and therefore we would not foresee any problems with homing him with other dogs, in fact we would see that as a benefit. He is still full of puppyness and quite boisterous so it would be preferable not to be with smaller children, although I dont believe that older children, perhaps teenagers would be a problem.
Although Mossie comes from a breed with a strong hpr background, he has never worked formally. However, he has had basic obedience training and walks well on the lead and responds to commands and whistle. When exercised with our SMs he shows some instincts which may be developed.
Further information can be obtained by contacting us (Barbara or Cliff Maffia) by email - smallmunsterlander@hotmail.co.uk or tel no 01340 831168

Saw one of these in Switzerland a few years back. Very similar in size to Brittanys. A lot to like about them. If my home wasn't already full to the gunnels I'd have given him a home. He sounds and looks lovely. Hope he finds a great forever home soon. Not many in the UK yet are there?

There are not very many at all in the UK - the two litters born to Dusty and Birka at Kingfisher Kennels and the odd one here and there that have been imported, usually with military personnel - its hards to say for sure. They are a great dog to live with - but challenging at times
