Taken yesterday.I believe the south of England was under a sheet of rain yesterday - wasn't like that in Scotland!
Mia out over the heather on the Sidlaw Hills, north of Dundee.
Curtis posing at the top!

Lovely photos Christine. We had a nice day in Northumberland yesterday, although it did rain in the evening.
Did you see many grouse? The reason I ask is that the hens will be sitting around now and it's best to leave them alone at this time of year. We keep dogs off the moor until mid July. There are also a lot of other ground nesting birds a this time of year - meadow pipits, golden plover, curlew etc.

Game birdsI'm really sorry but I meant to post these in the Large Munsterlander photos section, if anyone can guide me as to deleting them or moving this thread that would be helpful!
Hi Helen, the only birds I could see were larks and the only one I could hear other than the larks, was a cuckoo somewhere! The heather is only situated on a small part of this one hill (The Sidlaws range all the way from Dundee almost to Perth) the rest is gorse and a lot of loose stone (Part quarry) - the landscape is quite barren of anything a bird would want to nest on.

It sounds like I was telling you what you already knew. Sorry. It is such an important time of year for all ground nesting birds, some othe people might not be aware of that.
