Tease bitch neededOk, this is a long shot, so please be kind to me
I mated my bitch and her due date was supposed to be 16th January. she missed, obviously. Anyway, I have decided to have my male tested to make sure that he isn't firing blanks but I don't have bitch due is season in time before the vet that is willing to do the testing goes on holiday to Australia in March. Is there anyone willing in the Dalkieth area who can help me out with a tease bitch?

My bitches have been used as tease bitches over the years & I have never again. The bitches were horrified and one dog slobbered all her my bitches back it was disgusting
Sorry Linda...however I am too far away anyway

Thank you! Claire, I will email you later when I have more time.
Weima, I would use my own bitches but they aren't due in season until March at the earliest, just when the vet is away I would rather know before then, obviously

Having thought about it, I'm not sure how obliging Whistle would be. She is a maiden bitch and she has never yet appeared to be ready for mating. Whenever Harris has gone near her she has just about took his face off and that is during her whole season Which has actually made me wonder if she has yet ever ovulated Maybe you would be better off using an experienced bitch if this is the route you have to go down?

Claire, that's ok, I fully understand your thinking It only took Chance 30 seconds to mate, tie and turn the first time though it took a bit longer the second time, but who knows how long it would take.
I've had a few people giving advice on, erm, 'hands on' help and may have to go down that route........

don't envy you the task but the knuckle shuffle will get the desired results
I'm afraid I wouldn't use my bitch as a tease causes a bit of distress unless you've got a dog whose a real harlot.

knuckle shuffle
spank the monkey
quick trip to the hole in the wall
helping hand
warm sausage sandwich
I'm sure there are a few other names I could come up with that get used round here if you work in a club long enough you get to hear all sorts of wierd and wonderful terms for it... Brighton is just so full of colourful characters.

Have to say never ever considered a tease bitch would be necessary to manually express semen. My understanding is that male domestic dogs are born ready. Have seen semen expressed twice and it took all of thirty sesonds each time but then Gerry Scullion knew what he was doing. The reason it had to be done was that I had a small dog and a large bitch. Gerry was able to tell by the naked eye that the stuff was "good" but one time he made up a slide and let me look at it under a microscope. Lots of little eels swimming everywhere.

a tease bitch is good for an inexperienced dog, but not important if the vet knows what he is doing, any bitch will do by the way if he has some swabs already made up with the right smell on it the bitch doesn't even have to be on heat.
had to laugh with your boost about him being able to tell by the naked eye des you do need to actually get a mobility and sperm count by mircoscope as even though it might look good and there's heaps of it but alot of the time it's just sauce and no tadples

My boy is inexperienced He is 6 1/2 years old and has only mated my bitch, and she missed. No known reason which is why I want him checked out before trying again. There is no point if he is firing blanks
I have bred him and his mother, grandmother and great grandfather, so he is the last of my line if he can't perform None of his litter mates have been health tested, though 2 have been promised for the past few years that they would be. If my boy can't then I would push to get one of his brothers tested, hopefully in time.

I just had semen taken off my siberian (as he is on his way overseas for a wee while to be shown and used at stud)
he just gave up the semen - no tease bitch nothing!!!
He's 4 and never been used at stud....

Thanks for that Rae. It gives me encouragement. I was going to phone the vet today to make an appointment but changed my mind when I opened the curtains. Will leave it a day or two and see what the weather brings.......

Yes, I should imagine cold hands on tender parts would have an adverse effect

I have had semen taken off all four of my dogs 3 proven and experianced and one unproven and no need for a bitch, you just ned to know which bit to squeeze LOL
normal count and mobility still doesnt guarentee he is capable of siring puppies although it would save you wasting a season if he is firing blanks!
