Today, Whistle won......BEST IN SHOW 
We were at Kirkcaldy & District Canine Club's open show today where we were delighted to win BOB, Group 1 and BIS ! We were in pretty good company in the group ring and the BIS ring had some excellent dogs present so I was thrilled when we were chosen. And I think we've now got enough points for our Sh CM as well which I'm quite pleased about as I stopped doing most open shows once Whistle got her JW. On top of winning BIS and the grand some of £30, this show always has an excellent prize for BIS and that is a framed pedigree which is artfully created by Dave Balfour, he's does the most amazing caligraphy. He does these for SKC champ show too and they are amazing so I'm well chuft.
So, grouse moors on Monday and Best In Show on Sunday, hows that for a dual purpose gundog

Well done, Claire. I had hoped to be down but one of my puppy buyers appeared unexpectedly to see Mom and Pop Brit. Do you remember what was best AVNSC as there weren't classes for Brits

Thanks guys, I am really pleased with her at the moment. She is looking pretty good at the moment, well apart from having a bit of a runny eye today 
Annie, I kept an eye out for you as I saw you had entered. There were only 3 entered in your class, a pointer, a clumber and yourself. Only the clumber was present so got Best AVNSC but I don't recall it getting placed in the group.

Feeling a little sad as I have just read that the judge who gave Whistle Group 1 and BIS has recently died Avril Cawthera of the Lireva affix. She only looked to be in her 40s and seemed very happy and full of life so I have no idea how she has died and although I don't know her personally, I feel sad because Whistle will have been one of the last dogs, if not the last dog, to give such an award too.

I've just found out that it was actually the judge's mother who has died. Still very sad all the same really Thought I better quickly clarify!
