I recently helped a local Vizsla find a new home after his previous one decided that he was too much effort and took him to the vet to be euthanised! He proved to be an absolute darling here with us - clearly a case of dog/owner mismatch and one where the situation got out of hand because she didn't seek help in time.
Anyhow, the long and short of it is that in searching for a new home for him, we are now "in the loop" and hearing about other HPRs in Pacific Canada and NW America in need of new homes and currently know of a handful of older Weimaraners in this area and one beautiful 8-year old healthy female GSP (who has been hunted incidentally) all desperately seeking new homes.
