WA Champ show - Well done WeimaWeima's dog Sireva Minstergate Paganini JW by Sireva Twister x Ch Sireva Royalty at Minstergate JW won BIS at the Weimaraner Association Champ show yesterday (4th May 2008). IMHO a very well deserved win as he is a great looking dog who doesn't appear to be overdone in any way and looked to be presented in fantastic condition (I only saw him from out side the ring and he was well muscled, lean and looked in hard condition, just how I like a dog to be ) I particularly enjoyed the emphasis the judges seemed to be placing on movement for the final awards, it was obviously a difficult decision because they seemed to keep asking Weima to run round and round the big ring

Thanks Mike. It really was very unexpected as Axel [Paganini] has only just turned 2 years old a few weeks ago & it was his first limit class.
I really am unfit and I was asked to run & run & run so my face was bright red  and I was puffing like a steam train!
Also, it is difficult showing a dog that doesn't live with you as I never feel the same rappor and Axel does like to play me around sometimes. Hope the next 2 aren't far away

He's a lovely lad a really drives from his hocks. His working skills are coming along nicely too so who knows, perhaps he'll follow in Pagan's pawprints and become a full champion! | ||

Seriously Claire , he is looking great and I was also admiring the trophies in the second photo. Are they casts of grouse or pheasants , whatever they are they look really nice. The nearest I ever got to a trophy with Logan was for winning the "dog that the judge would most like to take home" at a companion show - bloody chuffed I was !!  I now use it as an ashtray !!
