Whistle's big brag !Yesterday we went to Selkirk Canine Society open show. It is a lovely show and always has a nice atmosphere. Whistle managed to get BOB and Group 1 under GSP specialist Fiona Thurm who is such a lovely and fair judge. I couldn't believe it when we won the group as Whistle is only 18mths but the judge really loved her.
And the icing on the cake was when she won RBIS !! I was over the moon! The judge was an irishman and I'm not sure what his breed is as he was judging various breeds yesterday. He said to the gundog judge that Whistle was absolutely gorgous. So I'm looking forward to reading his critique. I was also really pleased for the gundog judge too as I always think its nice if your BOBs and Group winners go on to win under another judge.
Whistle showed her little socks off and loved every minute of it. We celebrated by going back to a friends house to see her dogs and meet her lovely vizsla puppy who is just to die for. We then had a lovely walk with Whistle bombing around like an idiot and getting suitably covered in mud

I was stewarding Best in Show at Selkirk and I could hardly contain myself. It was obvious the judge liked Whistle, so I got really excited for her.
The Best in Show judge was Jackie Stubbs (Cottarinn), and I think he has Rotties, certainly he's a Working group man.

Massive congrats Claire and Whistle! it sounds very impressive.
I suppose now tripod Connie won't even get placed in a 'Best Gundog' class at a fun show................arghhh, but she might get the sympathy vote and get a place in 'dog the judge wants to take home'!!
well done!

I must confess I think that is a very nice looking weim ( But being a munstie man that probably counts for not alot ) What with Sharons GWP and your Weimaraner Claire thats twice this year I've really liked the look of another breed ( I won't say anything about Annies Brit, just in case W.B. is Lurking ) Must be something they are putting in the water down here
