Welcome to the board.  I own 2 gwp's and have done a little bit of showing, but am mainly interested in working.  My oldest gwp is part of a good grouse counting team, and the youngest is the one I show, but is also a worker.

Hi Danielle & welcome

I would be interested to know if the Wires in Denmark are any different to those here or those in Germany, too.  I thought it was Gunnar's sire who was imported from Denmark  Confused .  Perhaps I'm just going crazy  Very Happy

Anyway, welcome.

Just to clarify... We bought gunnar from a gentleman called Cris Gray. Gunnars sire is an DNK import. Gunnar has then went on to sire otto. Sorry for the mix up. The danish lines that we have taken from are very lively well tempered dogs. Cris Gray had bought in from Germany before and had to put his dog to sleep for attacking a jackrussel and staffy causing death, although i understand it was brilliant around his children. I have been laughed at before because of gunnar as he is so bouncy the judge in the show ring could hardly go over him because he was licking her so much. He has settled down now though.
Helen you should carry on showing your dogs as the wire truely is a dual purpose gundog.

Teal certainly is Smile  I have entered Crufts but it looks like she is coming into season so will be coming along just for the shopping.  I do enjoy it when I go but am not THAT interested so tend to save my money.   I much prefer working them.
