That's enlightening, I don't know one from the other - maybe just stay up in the hills then...

Hmmm I'm toying with going myself tbh  Sad   Doesn't she have spinone as well?  The problem I have had in the past with 'some' GSP judges is that some of them are trying to find a GSP in a weimaraner and therefore they go for the short backed weis which of course is incorrect for our breed.  There are some GSP judges though that know the weimaraner standard and have penalised the short backed weis  Very Happy

Is that the same Judge for GWP and Brittanys?  Would she know that GWPs are longer than high by 12 to 11 and that Brits should fit in a box shape?

Different judge for you Annie  Smile   And to be fair, this judge may know and indeed should know the weimaraner standard, it is just unfortunate that I have not had a great deal of luck with some GSP judges and its not been down to simply my dog not being their type, it has been down to them going for short backed weis  Sad

In defence of the Wei judge, I have seen her judge at an open show years ago [2001 I think] & she gave Sireva Cheers BP & he certainly wasn't a grey GSP although I can't remember what else she did  Embarassed

Annie the Brit judge is the BIS judge & the GWP judge is also doing GSPs ...hope she can get her eye in judging longer dogs then shorter dogs  Laughing

I do like support shows like this even if I can't get there. I nearly always enter the North of England HPR Club but seldom get there because their winter show is always on a shoot day [ Twisted Evil  Confused ] and the spring show I usually have bitches in season  Rolling Eyes

What breed does the BIS judge have then?
Why don't you all wear Working HPR Forum badges - I don't think I know many of you although possibly have seen some.  You'll all recognise me by my dogs Wink  Embarassed  Laughing  Rolling Eyes

Her main breed is Weimaraners but she has owned a Sh Ch GSP, has a lab, sussex spaniel [yuk, I hate sussex!]
I think she is on the Brit judging list but not 100% on that.
