I was counting them only yesterday, I am now on 7 different pills and two different types of mouth scoosher thingummies ! I sometimes wonder if Boots the chemist would go bankrupt without me. I'm still trying to stop smoking, this is nearing the end of my 3rd cigarless day. Considering I've smoked for about 50 years, 40 of them heavily - 30 small cigars per day! I'm quite pleased with my present progress - don't know how long I'll last out though, I've got the twitches, I'm going nuts and I'm eating about 3 times my normal amount. I'll be like Billy Bunter if I keep going like this!

Mike's father decided to give up smoking [he was a chain-smoker] the day he retired. He threw the last of a packet in the bin and never smoked again. Mind you..he died 10 months later but, he never smoked again _________________ Jan

My dad gave up smoking when he was 60, having smoked cigarettes, pipe, cigars, for 50 years (started young).
He never smoked again and lived for another 30 years. _________________ Liz |

Just to put another spin on it - stop now, Bill! I wish my son and his girlfriend would stop!
My Mum smoked till she was 47 then stopped altogether, she lived another 30 years then died a horrible lung cancer death. My Dad stopped smoking at 63, lived another 20 years then had a massive brain haemorrage(sp?) I guess they maybe wouldn't have had these extra years if they hadn't stopped.
Anyway, smokers SMELL HORRID!!!!!

Well I only asked
My first husband used to smoke...he also had a habit of sticking his tongue in my mouth it was really foul...thank God someone else took him [cured the migraine at the same time]
I just hope that you don't still smoke when we are up there with Annie for SKC in May. I'm hoping we can meet up so you can have a good laugh at Merlin's antics _________________ Jan

Did you see that everyone - they've invited themselves for the weekend 16 days after I move in. They'll have to unpack some boxes if they want fed! Or take big Hester for walks _________________ Aberdon HPR's. Good-looking AND Intelligent.
