Hi Steve
Welcome to the Group. I have Brittanys and live in Scotland
You might be better with a local joiner if you want wooden ones. That's what I did when I needed and extra kennel and run for puppies.
Boy are you going to have problems when your bitch comes in season in about 6 months time!!!Good luck
Annie

Welcome to the board Steve. I have two gwp's, as well as various other gundogs. What lines are yours? Why did you get 2? Surprised Don't think I could have coped with 2 gwp's for my first experience of the breed.

Have a look on ebay for kennels. A friend has just found a good one on there.

I can hardly cope with one 10 year old! She tries to bully my poor little Britbags! She was a gift for my dear departed, I love her dearly but I do wish I'd thought more about the implications Sad

Welcome from someone else in God's Own County!

I had a joiner build my kennel as then it was roughly to my specification. The panels for the run came from Canine Kennels.

Good luck with the training - I think you'll need it with 2 Very Happy

I found any of the HPR breeds I've ever had, GSP's and Brittanys To absolutely love wood! They can wittle a good kennel to nothing in a few weeks. I know its not because they are hungry or need execise so i guess they just like wood! Anyway I built mine since from concrete blocks and galvanised steel and I have'nt looked back since!

Keith.

Thanks for the replies. The reason I came with 2 was that I took a fancy to one of the pups and the wife liked another. Women! Only kidding! I have plans for when the bitch comes into season. I have checked out all the major suppliers and considered different options. Just thought someone may be able to throw a different angle on the subject. Countryside Kennels in the Midlands look a decent company but getting hold of them by phone or e-mail is a nightmare! May enc in my aread up building them myself. Anyway any more thoughts etc will be appreciated. Thanks.

Also looking for any Clubs etc in my area?

My Brittanys will eat almost anything given the chance but they haven't eaten any kennels as yet. But just ask Pat my pal who bred my Wire, or rather Les her husband, who had to rebuild the kennel she totally wrecked when she visited for two days - yes, TWO days!
You could do worse than join the GWP club(http://www.gwpclub.co.uk/ )- website gives lots of info (they will probably be able to help with local training too, or try your breeder)
