| Bucks' Diary |
Over the last few weeks I've done a fair bit of picking up here and there and Buck has been pretty spectacular on a couple of very difficult long 200 yards plus retrieves over some very "bad" ground. Even the beaters congratulated me as they watched him pull of a 200 yard blind retrieve on a bird shot some time before.
The cockers have been out with us too and they too are coming on a bundle. One estates "Head Picker Up" has asked if he can use Charlie at stud with his bi ... |

I feed Challenge. I liked the idea of feeding Salmon and Potato as opposed to feeding a diet full of grain, ie rice. I feed the maintenance to my oldie and the performance to my youngster and both love it. I have to say that my oldie spins round in circles now when its feeding time and although she was happy on her previous food and always scoffed it she never danced around in circles

What a night!
Just back on after last evening's traumatic visit to the vet. I noticed a black discharge from Belle at teatime and knew that was either a dead pup or a detached placenta so phone our vet and spoke to Michelle, rushed her down to the main surgery half an hour's drive away - at breakneck speed hoping there were no police cars on the back roads to Milnathort! My vet reckoned I was right about the diagnosis after examining Belle. She wasn't dilated and had started ... |
